lisa's background is the perfect complement to debra's at pipo press. known to peruse stationery websites for hours before ordering announcements or invitations, lisa was acutely aware of the one-sided selection in kiddy correspondence. "it was all about the cooing stage," lisa observed. "children are all about energy, fun and color! they need stationery that captures their spirit."

while debra specializes in design, lisa possesses strong business credentials, essential for a start-up company. with a bachelor's degree of science from cornell behind her, lisa headed to the corporate world for a series of sales and marketing positions with nabisco. pausing briefly to earn her mba at new york university's stern school of business management, she then joined clairol where she worked in marketing and new product development on numerous brands. in 1998, she married college sweetheart, ken potash, and moved to weston, connecticut. she has since "retired" from her previous marketing career to care for her doodlebugs, isabelle jane and jack mitchell, and her dog, kava.

far from being a dull businesswomen, lisa thrives on life as a mom, wife, friend, daughter and sister. her vibrant personality and contagious spirit keep her home buzzing with activity. she is rarely without a "project" or a packed calendar. even her 2004 diagnosis with cancer did not slow her down. in fact, just two months after completing her chemotherapy treatments, lisa signed on as a founding partner of pipo press.
